As a Specialist Wellness Counsellor and Internationally Certified TRE Provider, I use my expertise to seamlessly integrate body and mind healing into a holistic approach. Drawing from counselling, coaching, and TRE techniques, I've crafted a unique blend that equips you with valuable resources and guidance. Week 1: “Discovering Your Why” (week of the 9th October)

  • 5-hour individual session: Uncover your motivations, goals, and experiences. Identifying personal values, goals, and aspirations.
  • Introduction to TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises).
  • Review medical history and life history to personalize the journey.

Week 2-11: Guiding Themes for Group Sessions

Week 2: "Release and Let Go" (week of the 16th October 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Introduction to group TRE.
  • Practicing stress and tension release techniques.

Week 3: "Embracing Self-Compassion" (week of the 23rd October 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Self-compassion and self-love practices.

  • Starting the journey towards emotional healing.

Week 4: "Cultivating Resilience" (week of the 30th October 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Building emotional resilience.

Week 5: "Mindfulness and Grounding" (6th November 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Exploring mindfulness and grounding exercises.
  • Integrating mindfulness into daily life.

Week 6: "Reframing Your Story" (13th November 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Narrative therapy and reframing techniques.
  • Recognizing and challenging negative self-talk.

  • 30 minute Individual check in.

  • 1-hour group session: Practices for cultivating happiness.

  • 1-hour group session: Building meaningful relationships.

Week 9: "Empowering Self-Expression" (4th December 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Creative self-expression and self-discovery.
  • Using art, writing, or other mediums for healing.
  • Sharing personal insights and creations.

Week 10: "Inner Strength and Courage" (11th December 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Building inner strength and resilience.
  • Facing fears and overcoming challenges.
  • Preparing for life beyond the workshop.

Week 11: "Integration and Moving Forward" (20th December 2023)

  • 1-hour group session: Reflecting on the journey.
  • Setting goals for continued self-healing and growth. Creating a plan for post-workshop life and self-improvement.
  • Farewell and celebration of achievements.

Regular goal-setting exercises to align personal growth with workshop.

Support and Resources you get on this journey:

  • 1,5 hour Initial individual session, plus 30 minute individual check in in week 6.
  • 10 x 1 hour group sessions
  • Weekly short video on that weeks theme with additional optional tasks.
  • WhatsApp group for real-time support and community connection. Sometimes things come up in session or in your own practice that will be curious to you. I make myself available to support you in your learning journey with TRE® &Yoga between our meeting times.

FAQ

What if I'm not so sure that the group experience is good for me?

I’m happy to speak with you more to determine if this is a good fit for you. Private sessions and online options are available. You can learn about alternate ways to access this work here.

What if I don't identify with having trauma?

You don’t need trauma or to identify with it to benefit from TRE®. TRE® was founded by a traumatologist during war time, but it’s been applied in many contexts all over the world. Athletes use this practice to prepare for events, get into flow states, and recover from their competitions. You just need to be human with a body. TRE® also simply means “tension release exercise.”

What happens if I miss a class?

I recommend you do not skip classes. Each session is foundational to understanding the language, theories, and practices I’ll refer to throughout the course, the material presented builds on the previous session. Because each class is so important to the whole, there are no payment refunds for missed classes.

If I’m not available for the first class, can I still sign up?

This is NOT designed to be a drop-in class; rather it is a series of classes where our shared meeting together over time enhances the individual and overall experience.

The first class is foundational for content (see above) and for group connection. If this session doesn’t work for you, you can sign up on my waitlist for future offerings. This course will be offered at least twice a year, more often as my waitlist calls for it!

WHAT TO WEAR - something loose and comfortable that won't restrict your movement. We will be doing some light exercises and stretches. There are changing facilities at the venue.


Not recommended for

TRE group class might not be the most suitable setting for people with severe trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, burnout and serious health conditions or those who find it very challenging to self-regulate (unable to calm down when emotionally distressed).*

PREGNANCY - Learning TRE in the first trimester is not recommended.

RECENT INJURIES & SURGERIES - It is best to give your body at least 3 months to heal after a surgery or serious injury before doing TRE.*
